9th November - Cromer team paged at 1531 to assist local authorities in closing Cromer promenade and all access points due to high winds and extremely high tide. Stood down at 1845.

9th November - Cromer and Sheringham team's on station from 0251 in readiness to assist local authorities with flood watch and evacuation due to extremely high tides. At 0345 teams were deployed to Weybourne, Sheringham and Cromer promenade's. Both promenade's were closed off for safety reasons. All teams were stood down at 0845 once high tide had passed and weather conditions had also improved.

24th August - Cromer team paged at 1707 to investigate reports of a large piece of wood seen floating 1/2 mile of Overstrand. Nothing visible on arrival except small black object. Team stood down.

23rd August - Cromer team paged at 1944 to assist Norfolk Police search for 2 missing person's at Overstrand. Stood down whilst on station, missing person's turned up safe and well.

16th August - Cromer team paged at 2010 to immediately proceed to Cromer Pier forecourt, after a male was seen jumping from the pier. Once on scene the area was searched, we were advised my several members of the public the male had returned to the shore and headed towards Melbourne slope, the area was searched but the male managed to get away. Cromer Inshore Lifeboat was tasked.

12th August - Cromer team paged at 1539 to immediately proceed to East Runton, Two inflatable's were being blown out to sea, Cromer Inshore Lifeboat recovered both inflatable's, the Lifeboat was advised that the occupants were safely ashore. We were also concerned with two more inflatable's, the Inshore Lifeboat escorted them back to shore.

11th August - Cromer team paged at 1431 to immediately proceed to East Runton, Lifeguards were concerned with two inflatable's dinghies approximately 200 metres offshore. The occupants were brought ashore by Cromer Inshore Lifeboats and suitable safety advice was given.

6th August - Whilst on station training both Cromer & Sheringham teams were tasked at 1952 to immediately proceed to Woodhills Camp site, East Runton to rescue two dogs who had fallen down cliffs. Once on scene both dogs were quickly located resting on a ledge approximately 10 feet down. The cliff man was then lowered and recovered both dogs one by one. Both dogs a Staffordshire bull terrier and a Border collie were then reunited with there owner. North Norfolk Sector Manager was also in attendance.

4th August - Cromer team paged at 1751 to immediately proceed to Mundesley to assist Mundesley Coastguard and Mundesley Inshore Lifeboat search for a missing child who was last seen playing in the water. Search teams were deployed along the beach and Cliff tops. Shortly after commencing the search the child was located safe and well.

28th July - Whilst carrying out PR duties, at 1325, Cromer Mobile was tasked to immediately proceed to Vale Road Trimmingham to assist Mundesley Coastguard and Mundesley Inshore Lifeboat. The lifeboat recovered a male who had been in the sea after struggling with an inflatable dingy. Air Ambulance Anglia One and a local Paramedic were also sent. The male was checked over by medical staff and was later released. All teams returned to station.

26th July - Cromer team paged at 1245 to investigate reports of a RNLI lifeguard towing in a broken down crab boat with a jet ski. Details obtained and passed to MRCC.

25th July - Two team members were tasked at 1901 to investigate reports of a 9" metallic object on Overstrand beach east side of Cromer. The area was fully searched, nothing found.

16th July - Whilst Cliff training at Mundesley, two team members were tasked at 2033 to immediately proceed to Cromer Pier to investigate reports of a Object seen floating in the water by a member of the public. Mundesley Inshore Lifeboat was also tasked. Whilst on-route CCTV kept a close watch on the object. When the Inshore lifeboat arrived on scene they quickly recovered a half deflated balloon. CCTV confirmed this was the object and both teams returned to station.

25th June - Cromer team paged at 1845 to a male found collapsed on rocks East of Overstrand. Male found and handed over to local police who escorted him back to his local address.

24th June - Full team paged at 0930 to proceed to Runton Road Car Park to secure a Helicopter Landing Site. A Tug approx 2 miles north east of Cromer has a fire on board. 2 Teams from the Maritime Incident Response Group have been flown out to the vessel. The team was stood down at 1225 after Rescue 125 was released to return to base. Click here for the official MCA press release.

23rd June - Cromer and Sheringham teams paged at 1147 to proceed to Weybourne beach to a diver who had surfaced missing a decompression stop. The Diver was made comfortable while the Rescue Helicopter arrived. Rescue Helicopter 125 arrived at 1225, The Diver was then flown to the Decompression chamber at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston.

10th June - Full team paged at 2036 to reports of a fully dressed Person in the water west of Cromer Pier. The Person was persuaded to come out of the sea by a member of the public and detained until the team and local police arrived on scene.

4th June - Whilst on station training, 2 team members were tasked at 2036 to investigate reports of gas tanks in the water off Cromer Pier. The tanks were located at the bottom of the Lifeboat Launch slip. RNLI team member entered the sea to remove gas tanks to a safe place

31st May - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue team paged at 1338 to proceed to Woodhills Caravan park, East Runton to assist Ambulance personnel with a female who has fallen approx 40ft down cliffs. Team deployed to the cliff base to assist paramedics, because of her injuries and location it was decided to transfer her to the Coastguard stretcher and wait for the Air Ambulance to arrive. The beach was cleared and a safe lading site was set up. The casualty was transferred to the Air Ambulance and taken to the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital for treatment.

5th May - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue team Paged at 1812 to attend Beeston Caravan site to rescue a 2 year old child who is laying at the bottom of a cliff following a fall from the top. Norfolk Fire Service also in attendance. The child was carried off the beach to Sheringham East promenade to a waiting paramedic. The child was then transported to the Norfolk & Norwich University hospital for further checks. Air Ambulance Anglia One was also in attendance but stood down by the Paramedic.

11th April - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue team paged at 1440 to attend car park behind Trafalgar Court Hotel, Mundesley to rescue a dog who has fallen over the cliffs. Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service also attending. Fire service put a ladder on the beach and a fire fighter climbed up cliff to secure the dog. Cliff man was then deployed to recover the dog to the top of the cliff and then returned to recover the fire fighter.

9th April - Full team paged at 1234 to assist Ambulance with evacuation of a male on Cromer beach. The male was located East of Cromer Lighthouse with a suspected dislocated knee cap. The beach was temporally closed to allow the Air Ambulance (Anglia One) to land safely. The male casualty was given pain relief before being flown to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.

5th April - Tasked at 1300. Once back at station the team were advised of another smoke flare, found between East & West Runton. Again the flare was identified as a US Navy Phosphorous smoke flare. Due to its location and the amount of people on the beach, it was decided to watch the area until EOD arrived on scene. Royal Navy Bomb Squad arrived early evening and successfully destroyed the smoke flare. Bomb disposal squad then made there way to Kelling Hard to successfully destroy the second flare. 5th April - Paged at 1038. A member of the public had found a flare at Kelling Hard, grid reference TG087441. The object was identified as a US Navy Phosphorous smoke flare. The area was made safe and the team returned station. Click here for image.

2nd April - Tasked at 0800. (Continuation to yesterdays washed up flare) Team returned to West Runton to wait for low water, in the mean time the beach was checked from West Runton through to Cromer for any other possible flares. Back at West Runton it appears the high tides have washed the flare back into the sea. No further action taken. Click here for image.

1st April - Paged at 1148. A member of the public had found a flare on West Runton beach, grid reference TG182234.The flare was identified as a US Navy Phosphorous smoke flare. The area was made safe until high tide, team stood down at 1655. Click here for image.

27th April - Tasked at 2159. Andy Snelling received a report that a possible flare had been washed up at East Runton, the information was passed to Yarmouth MRCC and both Andy & Matt Blakey were tasked to investigate. The item was located by the old look out at East Runton and confirmed as a spent para flare cartridge. The cartridge was taken back to Cromer station. Click here for image.

22nd March at 1320 Cromer Mobile returned to East Runton to await the arrival of the EOD. Once the RAF EOD had arrived and assessed the situation, the area was secured including cliff tops and residents living in a Cliff top Caravan park were also evacuated. The flare was then blown up, the area was made safe and the residents were allowed back home. 1740 the team returned to station.

22nd March - Tasked at 1210. Asked to leave couple members of the team at East Runton and take the mobile to Overstrand to locate an abandoned Kayak located between Overstrand and Cromer. The Kayak was retrieved and taken to Cromer Coastguard base.

22nd March - Paged at 1127. A member of the public had found a flare on East Runton beach. The object was located 30 yards East of East Runton Gap. The flare was identified as a US Navy Phosphorous smoke flare. The area was made safe while the team passed all the details to the Yarmouth MRCC.

20th March at 1715. Cromer team went down to the Promenade and offered safety advice to members of the public who had come down to watch the High spring tide. A decision was taken to close Cromer pier and the promenade due to the height of the breaking waves. The Promenade was reopened around 2100. Click here for image.

19th March at 1855. Whilst on station for training, Yarmouth tasked the team to proceed to Cromer Promenade to liaise with Norfolk Police and issue safety advice to the general public who had come down to watch the high Spring tides. The police took the decision to close the promenade for safety reasons and the team assisted. Click here for image.

18th March - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue team paged at 1637 to go on immediate readiness to attend Happisburgh to assist with a Cliff Incident. Teams stood down by Yarmouth MRCC.

8th March - Paged at 1310 to investigate reports of a Gyro Copter had crashed onto rocks on East Runton beach. Pilot had to make an emergency landing due to running out of fuel. Both pilot and aircraft all ok

3rd March - Full team paged at 1847 at the request of Norfolk Police. Team stood down whist on Station.

27th February Paged at 1710. A member of the public was concerned with an suspicious object he had seen in the sea off Cromer. Yarmouth paged the team to investigate. The object was confirmed as a fishing boat coming out of some mist and heading shore. No further action taken.

27th February - Full team paged at 0914 after Yarmouth MRCC received reports of 2 broken down fishing boats of Cromer. Whilst Cromer Inshore Lifeboat towed one of the boats to safety, the team kept a watch on the 2nd boats, positioned at Cromer Lighthouse. Once both boats were safely ashore the team went to speak to the owners to offer safety advice

21st February Paged at 1105 to assist Sheringham Coastguard who were investigating reports of a Dog who had fallen over cliffs above Sheringham Lifeboat Station. Team stood down after is was established Norfolk Fire & Rescue service had recovered the dog.

17th February Paged at 1419. Both Cromer & Sheringham teams paged at the request of Norfolk Police, male in water off Sheringham (East End). Sheringham Inshore Lifeboat advised at 1423 male was approx. 3/4 mile off Beeston Bump. Male located and was taken to Sheringham Lifeboat Station where he was met by waiting Police and Ambulance.

21st January - Paged at 1403 at the request of Norfolk Police, they had received a report from a member of the public concerned that he had found a possible ordinance object on Overstrand beach. The object approx 3/4 mile from Overstrand was cylindrical and approx 18" long. The object was identified as a marine/diesel filter. The item was disposed of by Norfolk Police, no further action taken.

18th January Cromer team paged at 1122 to assist female who had fallen on to her side on Overstrand lower promenade with suspected broken arm. Casualty transferred to stretcher and lifted to upper promenade then transported to waiting Ambulance.
