28th December - Paged at 0554 to assist Norfolk Police and Cromer Inshore Lifeboat search for a female who had jumped of Cromer pier. The female was quickly located by the lifeboat and brought ashore and transferred to a waiting Ambulance. Click here for the official MCA press release.
25th November - Paged at 2054 at the request of Norfolk Police to assist search for a female who was seen in the water to the West of Cromer Pier. The casualty was on the beach by the time the mobile arrived. No further action required.
22nd November - Paged at 0225 at the request of Norfolk Police to assist search for a male who had jumped off Cromer Pier. Search teams were deployed along the shoreline and promenade. Shortly before 0400 the Police stood the team down as the Casualty had made contact with them. Cromer ILB also assisted with the search.
4th November - Paged at 1143. Both Cromer and Sheringham Teams paged at the request of Norfolk Police to assist in searching for a missing person. The search was conducted from Cromer through to Blakeney and also inland. Teams stood down once search was completed.
9th September - Paged at 1253. Reports of a female swimmer in difficulty under Cromer Pier. She was recovered by a local fishing boat and then transferred to Cromer ILB. Once ashore she was checked over by ambulance personnel. Click here for images.
9th September - Tasked at 0505 to man Trimmingham Aerial Site following a power failure at Yarmouth MRCC. Stood down at 0915.
20th August - Paged at 1215 to assist Ambulance evacuate a female from Overstrand beach with a head injury. Female was carried of the beach to a waiting Ambulance. Also the Crew of Mundesley Lifeboat assisted in the operation.
13th August - Paged at 1607. To investigate suspicious object on East Runton beach, object located and found to be a tractor hub. No further action required, returned to station.
11th August - Paged at 0903. Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley teams paged at the request of Norfolk Police. To assist in searching for a missing male seen between Cromer and Overstrand. Search teams deployed along cliff tops. Missing male found in the Trimingham area by the Police helicopter. Teams stood down.
8th August - Paged at 1606. Reports of a female swimmer in difficulty off Cromer West Prom, female had been rescued by members of her family. Safety advice given and no medical assistance required.
2nd August - Paged at 1026. Both Cromer and Sheringham teams paged to assist Wells and Cley coastguard's search for a missing female in the Stiffkey area. Area thoroughly search and Cromer team stood down at 1600. Also involved in the search was Rescue 125, both Wells and Sheringham Lifeboats and North Norfolk Sector Manager. 1st August - Paged at 1740. To assist Ambulance on West Runton Beach - Stood down before leaving station.
28th July - Paged at 1238. Reports of a Jet Ski in trouble and smoking heavily East off Cromer. On arrival the Jet Ski had managed to make shore safely. A short while later the Jet Ski re launched and had to be towed back to shore by Cromer ILB. due to engine failure.
25th July - Paged at 1842. Reports of 2 young swimmers in difficulty east side of Cromer Pier. Both boys made shore safely before mobile arrived. Boys returned to guardians and suitable safety advice given.
25 July - Paged at 1330. Paged to search for missing child. Stood down shortly after leaving station, child found safe and well.
24th July - Paged at 1558. Reports of a possible swimmer in difficulty off Overstrand. Nothing see. Moved East to sidestrand and object identified as a seal. Team stood down.
22nd July - Paged at 1730. Lifeguards concerned about an inflatable dingy heading out to sea, Mobile arrived at Cromer prom and was redirected to Overstrand by Lifeguards. Inflatable heading for shore safely. Once ashore suitable safety advice given.
13th July - Paged at 1612. To assist with broken down fishing boat off Overstrand. Boat towed to shore by Cromer ILB, details obtained and passed to Yarmouth MRCC.
2nd July at 1833. Whilst on routine Patrol/Accident Prevention. Stopped by member of the public after her daughter hit and cut her foot walking on the beach, cleaned up and dressed wound.
2nd July - Tasked at 1624 to immediately proceed to Cromer Prom, Lifeguards pulled male from sea after getting into difficulty. Safety advice given.
2nd July - Tasked at 1554. To immediately proceed to Cromer Pier, Lifeguards pulled male from Sea after a member of public lost his footing while walking out to sea. Safety advice given. Click here for image.
26 June - Paged at 2216. Member of the public reported seeing a red light flashing out to Sea. After investigating the light was found to be a marker light on the Sewage Outfall pipe at East Runton.
26th June - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue team paged at 1458 after Yarmouth received reports of a male who had fallen down cliffs at Overstrand. Once on scene it was soon discovered the male had tripped and fallen on a footpath leading to the beach. The team assisted with transporting the casualty to a waiting Ambulance. Also in attendance was the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
21st June - Paged at 1806. Reports of a body border in difficulty off Cromer East beach, by the time the mobile arrived, the wind surfer had made it back safely to shore. No further action required.
15th June - Tasked at 2207. Member of the public had reported a vessel on fire just off Cromer. Small Ferry located approx 2 miles off shore heading East. Yarmouth contacted the captain who confirmed his ship was ok Team stood down.
14th June - Paged at 1811. At the request of Ambulance. Reports of a Hand glider had crashed on West beach at West Runton. Casualty had broken upper arm, assisted carrying casualty to waiting Ambulance. Also in attendance Sheringham Coastguard, Norfolk Fire Service and a local Doctor.
2nd June - Tasked at 1408. To man Trimingham Aerial Site from 1500 to 1545
23rd May - Paged at 1410 after Yarmouth received 999 calls stating a male had jumped off Cromer Pier. A member of the public managed to pull the male out from the sea before the mobile arrived. Casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance. Click here for image.
21st May - Paged at 2126 at the request of Ambulance to assist paramedics with an unconscious female on East Runton Beach. Casualty was carried of beach to a waiting ambulance.
17th April - Tasked at 1204. Whilst on routine patrol, Yarmouth tasked Cromer Mobile to proceed to East Runton following reports of children digging on a Cliff face and playing on the Groynes. On arrival the children had moved on.
30th March - Tasked at 1901. Following a 999 call from a member of the public, Cromer mobile was tasked to investigate reports of a white flare ascending from the East to the West. Mobile searched along the cliff tops, following no more reported sightings, mobile stood down.
29th March - Paged at 2040. Yarmouth MRCC received reports of a possible life jacket floating in the sea off Cromer west beach. Object found to be Port hand buoy on end of groyne.
29th March Paged at 1901. Male cut of by incoming tide at Overstrand. Casualty located approx 50 yards west of Overstrand, casualty lead to safety by J Lilley. Cromer ILB also in attendance.
21st March - Tasked at 0445 to man Trimingham Aerial site following power failure at Yarmouth MRCC.
6th March - Paged at 1736. Yarmouth MRCC received a report from a member of the public reporting a oil drum on Cromer beach, the item was located and turned out to be a fire extinguisher.
4th March - Paged at 1020. Yarmouth MRCC tasked SO Dave Stow to take Cromer Mobile to Sheringham to assist with comm's for both Sheringham Coastguard and Sheringham Lifeboat.
5th February - Tasked at 1353. Yarmouth MRCC received a call from a concerned member of the public regarding a group of students on the cliffs and beach at West Runton. SO Dave Stow & M Bonnet attended and offered safety advice.
