14th December - Paged at 1416. A concerned member of the public reported what looked to be a dog lead partly buried in the cliff between Cromer west prom and Windham park. The lead was soon located by the waters edge and was being lost to the in coming tide. It is believed the object is a anchor for a bank fishing line. No further action taken.
27th November - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue Team paged at 1228 to assist Ambulance and Police personnel to recover a male who had fallen down cliffs near Mundesley Green.
Tasked at 1400 to man Trimingham Aerial Site due to power failure at Yarmouth MRCC.
Whilst on routine patrol at Midday Yarmouth tasked Cromer Mobile to proceed to Sheringham to assist a member of the public search for her dog who had fallen over the cliffs and was injured on the beach. Shortly after they were joined by additional members from Sheringham and Cromer teams. It was soon discovered that the dog had run off. Search teams were deployed along both cliff top and shore line. The dog was soon located on Weybourne beach, with an injured back leg. The lady owner found her way to her injured dog and collapsed on the beach, and an ambulance was called. She soon made a full recovery and medical assistance was declined. The dog and owner were ferried to the local vets in Sheringham.
26th November - Tasked at 2224 to man Trimingham Aerial Site due to power failure at Yarmouth MRCC.
25th November - Tasked at 1426. Tasked to man Trimingham Aerial Site due to power failure at Yarmouth MRCC.
3rd November - Paged at 0024. Cromer team paged after Police reported a distressed female in the sea near Cromer Pier. Once on scene the female was found safe and well with the Police. Cromer ILB was also tasked but stood down before launching.
23rd October - Paged at 0322. Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to assist Norfolk police search for a missing female. Search teams were deployed to search from East Runton to Cromer Lighthouse. Also requested to search Cromer town centre, various street's and the main car parks. Nothing found. Search teams stood down. Police investigation still on going.
4th October - Paged at 0046. Cromer team paged and tasked to immediately proceed to Overstrand and locate a vulnerable female. Shortly after arriving, female was found safe and well. Cromer ILB was also tasked but stood down shortly after launching.
15th September - Paged at 2320. Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to assist Norfolk Police search for missing female. Search teams were deployed to search between Sheringham and Cromer along both shoreline and cliff tops. Norfolk Police stood down search teams. Police investigation still on going.
7th September North - Norfolk Cliff Rescue team paged at 1700 after Yarmouth received reports of a dog fallen down cliff's at Wood hills Caravan site. Once in scene the dog was located approx. 50ft down the cliff, stuck on a ledge. The cliff man was lowered and secured the dog, where they were then lowered down to the beach where the dog was reunited with it's owner. All teams returned to station.
4th September - North Norfolk Cliff team paged at 1705 after Yarmouth MRCC received reports of two teenage boys stuck down Cliffs west of Overstrand. Once on scene both were quickly located. A Cliff man was then lowered to the boys and secured them until Rescue 125 arrived. Both boys were winched up and Rescue 125 landed on Cromer Golf course were the boys were met by local police. All teams returned to station.
1st September - Paged at 1923. Cromer team paged after Yarmouth received reports of a female swimmer in difficulty East of Cromer Pier. The Cromer Inshore Lifeboat was training in the area and immediately proceeded to the pier. The female swimmer came ashore with the assistance of a friend. Cromer Mobile tried to locate the swimmers, but it's believed they made off before our arrival.
1st September - Paged at 1723. Yarmouth received reports off an inflatable dingy with persons on board drifting out to sea off Overstrand. Both Cromer Coastguard and the Inshore Lifeboat were paged. The dingy was located by the ILB with No persons on board. The dingy recovered and both teams returned to station.
31st August - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue team paged at 1550 after Yarmouth Mrcc received reports of a dog and child over cliffs at East Runton. Once the team arrived on scene Norfolk Fire Service had already recovered the dog and confirmed that there was no child in any danger.
29th August - Paged at 1302. Yarmouth received reports of 2 swimmers in difficulty off Cromer Pier, Team paged and proceeded to Pier. Once on scene, member of the public confirmed that both swimmers had been escorted back to shore by lifeguards. Both swimmers safe and well, no further action taken.
20th August 0 Paged at 1649. Yarmouth coastguard received reports of a female entering the sea at Overstrand carrying a ruck sack full of stones. Both Cromer & Mundesley Coastguard's were paged, once on scene together with the police the incident was resolved.
18th August - Paged at 2323. Yarmouth received a call from a concerned member of the public about a flashing light coming from a yacht anchored approx 400 yards off Cromer East Beach. Yarmouth broadcast a message on channel 16, with no reply. It was decided to launch the Cromer ILB. The ILB managed to speak to the skipper to confirm everything was well. The flashing light turned out to be a Tilley lamp hanging in rigging being obscured by a life ring.
18th August Paged at 2120. Cromer team full paged to assist Norfolk police search for a missing 60 year old female. Requested a full cliff top search commencing at Runton Road Car Park. On arrival, Police confirmed misper had been found safe and well.
16th August - Paged at 1817. Cromer team paged to assist Cromer ILB. Reports of 2 body borders in difficulty beyond the end of Groynes on East Beach. Both lads ok, The ILB stood by as the young lads swam back to shore.
6th August - Paged at 1222. Cromer team paged to assist Cromer ILB. Beach lifeguards had concerns about a object just off East Runton. Following an extensive search by the ILB and speaking to sun bathers it was decided the object seen is the Sewer Marker Buoy. Both teams stood down and returned to station.
23rd July - Paged at 2146. Cromer team paged after Yarmouth received reports of 2 girls cut off by incoming tide west side of Cromer pier. On the arrival of the team, both girls were found safe and well, Yarmouth stood down the crew of the ILB.
21st July - Paged at 1717. Cromer team paged after Yarmouth received reports of Phosphorus flares at Overstrand & Mundesley. Search teams deployed and located both devices. Area's clearly marked. Team stood down and returned to station. EOD arrived 22nd July and carried out a controlled explosion.
18th July Cromer team paged to assist Sheringham coastguard. Yarmouth received reports of a dingy in difficulty of Sheringham beach. Both dingy and persons on board were found safe and well on Sheringham beach when the mobile arrived.
16th July - Paged at 1751. Full team paged, Cromer ILB tasked to proceed to a dingy of Cromer West Beach with 2 persons on board (teenagers). Both occupants bought safely ashore. No details obtained as teenagers ran off. Both ILB & Cromer mobile returned to station.
15th July - Paged at 1942. Cromer ILB whilst on exercise was tasked to proceed to East Runton and recover small inflatable dingy and 2 occupants (teenagers). Cromer mobile proceeded to Cromer prom. to met ILB and obtain details of teenagers. Cromer ILB resumed exercise and mobile returned to station.
2nd July - Paged at 1748. Comer team paged at the request of Cromer Lifeguards. Inflatable dingy seen drifting towards the end of Cromer Pier. By the time the mobile arrived on scene the occupants of the dingy had safely come ashore. No further assistance required.
30th June - Paged at 1730. Cromer team paged to assist Local Police and Lifeguards on Cromer beach. No further details available.
29th June - Paged at 0844. Cromer and Sheringham teams paged to search for missing female after clothing and personnel effects were found on Cromer Prom. Search teams deployed East and West. Yarmouth Coastguard also tasked Cromer ILB and Sheringham Lifeboat to assist with a shoreline search. Police located missing female safe and well. All teams stood down and returned to station.
20th June - Paged at 1611. Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to search for missing male. Full Cliff top and Shoreline search commenced from Sheringham to Trimingham. Yarmouth Coastguard also tasked Sheringham Lifeboat to search from Sheringham to Trimingham. Following an extensive search all teams stood down and returned to station pending further enquiries.
19th June - Paged at 1434. Yarmouth Paged Cromer Full team. Team stood whilst on station.
18th June - Paged at 1415. Whilst preparing to Assist Cromer Lifeboat beach a broken down boat, Cromer 5 was called and informed of a male stranded down cliffs between East & West Runton. The team on station immediately responded and headed for East Runton. Mundesley Coastguard were tasked by Yarmouth Coastguard and arrived on scene within minutes. Search teams were deployed along the cliff top and shoreline and the casualty was soon located approx 30 feet from the cliff top.Matt Blakey was lowered to the casualty and secured him in a harness and both were then lowered to the beach where they were met by Dave Stow, they then proceeded along to West Runton and the casualty was checked over by paramedics. Both teams returned to station.
7th May - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue team paged at 1032, reports of a Jack Russell terrier seen sitting on a ledge of a recent Cliff Fall at Weybourne. The caller thought the dog owner may fallen down the Cliff. Shortly after the teams arrived the dog owner turned up safe and well. All teams stood down and returned to station
28th April - Paged at 1323. Cromer team paged, reports of a fishing boat with engine failure off Sidestrand. The Cromer Inshore Lifeboat located boat and safely towed the Vessel back to Overstrand.
8th April - Paged at 0935. Cromer team paged to investigate reports of a Phosphorus flare on Cromer beach. Successfully located flare, made the immediate area safe and waited for the E.O.D. team to arrive to dispose of flare safely.
8th April - Paged at 1508. Cromer team paged to investigate reports of another flare on Beeston Regis beach. Located flare, made immediate area safe and waited for E.O.D. team to arrive to dispose of flare safely.
3rd April - Paged at 0843. Cromer team paged after Station Officer was asked to investigate and locate a Terrier dog after it fell down Cliffs in Cromer whilst out with it's owner. D Stow was lowered on a Cliff line and located the dog after 5 minutes. Dave and the terrier were then bought back up the cliff and returned the dog to it's owner.
20th March - North Norfolk Cliff Rescue Team paged at 1349. Cromer Inshore Lifeboat also paged, reports of a child seen falling over Cliffs at Overstrand. Following an extensive by Coastguard's, Police, Ambulance and Lifeboat personnel, all Agencies stood down. Call now believed to be a Hoax.
16th March - Paged at 2125. A U.S. Navy aircraft made an emergency landing in Overstrand. J Lilley & A Snelling went to offer assistance to the crew whilst a maintenance team was flown in. Additional members of the Cromer team were called in to create a safe landing zone for the 2nd aircraft.
15th March - Paged at 1419. Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to assist Paramedics with a female at Cley. Both teams stood down by Yarmouth Coastguard.
11th March - Paged at 1106. Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley teams paged to assist Police in locate the owner of a Rider-less horse seen on Sidestrand beach. Police found the horse owner safe and well. All teams stood down and returned to station.
7th March - Paged at 1508. Cromer team paged to investigate "object" found on East Runton beach. Object located and found to be a Phosphorus flare. Made Immediate area safe and waited for the E.O.D. team to arrive to dispose of flare safely.
3rd February - Paged at 2016. Cromer and Sheringham teams paged to assist Police search for a missing female, believed to be in the Sheringham area. Female successfully found by Coastguard search team. All teams stood down and returned to station.
21st January - Paged at 1508. Cromer team paged after Yarmouth received reports of a missing Jet skier thought to be between Cromer and Sea Palling. Jet Skier found safe and well by another Coastguard search team. Team stood down and returned to station.
11th January - Paged at 0939. Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley team paged to assist Police search for a missing female thought to be in the Cromer area. Police located missing female safe and well. All teams stood down and returned to station.
