Search team tasked to assist Norfolk Police. No Further Details Available.

 

2nd December - Paged at 0909

Cromer team paged to carry out a shore line search for a man over board who is missing from a North Sea Ferry. Search teams were stood down after a full search was completed.

 

13th November - Tasked at 1030

Mark Bonnett tasked to take the mobile down to Trimingham to assist Mundesley Coastguard & Eod. 9 Mortar's were discovered on the beach. Eod carried out a control explosion.

 

27th October - Paged at 0005

Cromer team paged to carry out a shore line search for a missing 48ft Yacht. Search teams were stood down after a full search was completed.

 

19th October - Paged at 1905

Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to assist Norfolk Police search for a female who has been missing all day. A full shoreline search commenced from West Runton heading East towards Cromer. Rescue helicopter 125 was also tasked to assist. shortly before 2100 the female was found safe & well by the police.

 

10th September - Tasked at 1120

Jim Lilley tasked to take the mobile down to Cromer East beach with another team member after 999 calls were made about a dog in difficulties in the sea off Cromer Lighthouse. After a short while the dog came shore safely.

 

29th August - Paged at 1534

Cromer team paged to standby on station. At 1555 the team was told to immediately proceed to Mundesley and assist in the search for a possible swimmer in difficulties of the Coast Watch station. Whilst on route the swimmer was found safe and well. Mobile stood down and returned to station.

 

24th August - Paged at 1911

Cromer team paged after members of the public had concerns about a inflatable dinghy off Cromer Pier. The Dinghy was escorted back to shore by Cromer Inshore Lifeboat and safety advice was given.

 

11th August - Paged at 1907

Cromer team paged to reports of 2 inflatable's in difficulty of Sheringham Lifeboat Station. Team stood down whilst on route to station.

 

1st August - Paged at 1946

Cromer team paged to reports of a 10ft Rowing boat seen drifting off Cromer East beach. The rowing boat was approached by a local fishing boat (with a crew member from Sheringham Coastguard) who advised the occupants to return to shore for there own safety. The boat was then towed back to shore. Cromer Inshore Lifeboat was also in attendance, they provided life jackets for the boats occupants and stood by whilst the rowing boat was towed ashore. Safety advice was given.

 

30th July - Paged at 1814

Cromer team paged to reports of a male who had been seen in difficulties East of Cromer pier, Cromer Inshore Lifeboat was also tasked. Additional resources were soon requested. Cromer all weather lifeboat, Sheringham Lifeboat, Mundesley Inshore Rescue Boat, RNLI Lifeguards, Search & Rescue helicopter (Rescue 125), Sheringham & Mundesley Coastguard Rescue Teams were all paged to assist with the search. A full air, sea and land search from Cromer through to Trimingham was commenced. The search was scaled down at 2230 due to poor light. At 0000 a further shoreline search commenced, at approx 0015 a body was found and recovered.

Cromer team paged to reports of a surf boarder who was in difficulties, East of Cromer pier. The surf border made is was back to shore safely.

 

26th July

Mobile tasked to investigate orange/blue object in the water between East Runton and Cromer, the Zap Cat racing safety boat was asked to retrieve the object.

Cromer team paged to assist the the East Anglian Air Ambulance personnel with a female who had fallen on Overstrand beach.

 

29th June - Paged at 1353

Cromer team paged to locate a powerboat that had broken down between West Runton and Cromer. The boat had been towed to the end of the Pier by Cromer Inshore Lifeboat. Due to the boat suffering from steering failure the all weather lifeboat was launched and the Powerboat was towed to Lowestoft. Whilst arriving back at the station we heard reports of another Powerboat in difficulty off Overstrand. We immediately proceeded to the area. With the assistance of Sea king 125, it was established no boats were in difficulty.

 

17th June - Tasked at 1347

M Blakey was tasked to investigate a suspected Mortar bomb on the beach at East Runton. The object was located and the surrounding area sealed off while the bomb disposal squad were on on-route. Full team was paged at 1751 to assist with closing off the beach and sealing off the cliff tops. The bomb disposal squad carried out a controlled explosion.

 

1st June - Paged at 1342

North Norfolk Cliff Team paged to a dog that had fallen down cliffs near to Beeston Bump. The dog was quickly located on the beach with its owner, the dog had fallen approx. 80ft. A stretcher and blankets was taken to the dog ready for a carry off. Once the vets had arrived and assessed the injured dog, it was decided the dog needed transferring to the Veterinary surgery. The dog was transferred to Cromer mobile and taken to the vets for further examination.

 

31st May - Paged at 1646

North Norfolk Cliff Team paged to recover a Monkjack Deer stuck on cliffs adjacent to Runton Road Car Park. Upon approach of the cliff man, the deer ran down the cliffs and straight into the sea, eventually coming ashore just west of Cromer Pier. The immediate area was closed off while we waited for the arrival of the RSPCA. The deer was later spooked and ran east along the beach and returned to its natural habitat. A brief search of the area was commenced to ensure the deer was safe, no trace and we stood down.

 

26th May - Paged at 1646

North Norfolk Cliff Team paged to go on standby at Cromer Cre at the request of Norfolk Police. Team stood down once Norfolk Police had concluded their incident.

 

22nd May - Paged at 2007

Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to search for a missing person. A full search commenced from Sheringham along the coastline towards Mundesley, all local car parks, streets, caravan parks, beach access points were thoroughly checked. Cromer Inshore Lifeboat also assisted with the search, searching through to Trimingham. Our colleagues from Mundesley and Happisburgh were also tasked to search their local area. All search teams were stood down at 2220.

Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to assist Norfolk Police at Weybourne. No further details available.

 

13th May - Paged at 1422

Cromer team paged to assist with a elderly male who was weak and tired. The male was located on the beach between Cromer and Overstrand. He was assisted along the beach and returned to his hotel after being examined by Ambulance personnel.

 

11th May - Paged at 1559

Cromer team paged after a member of the public was concerned about an inflatable dingy drifting. The inflatable turned out to be 2 males fishing in an inflatable Kayak. No further action taken.

 

11th April - Paged at 2358

Cromer & Sheringham team paged to a drunken male stuck on rocks. The male was put into a stretcher and lifted to the promenade and handed over to Ambulance staff.

Cromer & Sheringham team paged to search for a overdue vessel. Shoreline searches commenced. The vessel safely located of Wells.

Cromer team paged after a local Police Community Support Officer reported an inflatable dingy off Cromer in high winds. Cromer Inshore Lifeboat was tasked to proceed to the boat and advise the occupants to return to shore. Once a shore, safety advise was given.

 

4th February - Paged at 1051

Cromer team paged to reports of a broken down fishing vessel approx 3/4 mile off Cromer pier. The vessel was towed back ashore by Cromer Inshore Lifeboat. Details obtained and passed to Yarmouth Mrcc.

 

3rd February - Paged at 0503

Cromer & Sheringham teams paged to proceed to Beeston to set up a helicopter landing site and assist local Police search for a missing male. Search & Rescue helicopter, Rescue 125 searched along the railway track and allotments before conducting a cliff top/beach search, meanwhile two search teams were deployed along the cliff tops. Rescue 125 pickup up a heat source on the beach. It was soon confirmed this was the missing male. The casualty was then air lifted to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

 

27th January - Paged at 1410

Dave Stow & Andy Snelling tasked to investigate a cliff fall at Beach Road, East Runton. Arrived at Beach Road, nothing found. Spoke to the first informant and relocated to West Runton. Cliff fall found to the west of the Runton Gap. Grid Reference passed to Yarmouth Mrcc who will contact the local authorities to arrange for the area to be cleaned up.
